Viking is the largest assistance services company in Norway, and is also established in Sweden with offices in Stockholm, Uppsala, Gothenburg and Malmö. 

Viking offers road assistance for all kinds of cars, and has collaborating partners who makes it possible to assist customers on an international level. Viking has business deals with most of the insurance companies and carmanufacturers, in addition to several international partners. 

Viking is well prepared to assist you and your customers in any way. For more than fifty years, Viking has been building successful partnerships with corporate clients. The company offers technical road assistance, medical assistance and other call centre related services. The services are available to end-users 24/7, and able to help all clients from an international perspective.

Franchise agreements

Assistance requests are passed on to, and executed by, one of 150 service stations with which Viking has a franchise agreement. The headquaters have approximately 120 employees, which generates good results. The annual turnover for the company is approximately 400 million NOK. Viking execute over 250 000 road assistances and answer over 800 000 inbound calls.

Viking Redningstjeneste Detalj

In 2008 Viking acquired the company Sæter Bilberging AS, which rebranded to Viking Redningstjeneste Detalj AS. The company is the largest service station in Vikings nationwide network and also the largest road assistance station within the Nordic countries. Viking Detalj performs, in addition to road assistance, different transportation missions for the car industry and special assignments for contractors and the industry in general. Viking Detalj has over 30 modern and well armed towing trucks for all types of cars. The annual turnover is approxiamately 45 million NOK and the company handles approximately 55 000 road assistances.

Viking recently bought the third largest service station in Norway, Vikingservice AS (Viking Bergen), as a part of the continuous commitment towards the retail level in Norway. Vikingservice AS has an annual turnover on approximately 16 million NOK and performs approximately 15 000 road assistances.

Viking Sweden

In April 2010 Viking Redningstjeneste acquired StorStockholms Bärgningstjänst AB as a part of a Nordic strategy. By doing this Viking strengthened its position in the last term. SSBT is leading within its field of towing large trucks in Sweden, and the company will continue to focus and commit towards this market. In addition, SSBT offers professional and effective services for all types of

 road assistance and transportations for insurance companies, car manufacturers and other customers and individuals. SSBT is ISO certified, and has an annual turnover on approximately 35 million NOK and generates good results. 

In October 2010 Viking established operations in the area of Malmö, as a part of the continuous expansion in Sweden. Viking recently acquired the company Bärgningstjänsten i Sverige AB, with offices in Gothenburg.

Owners

Viking Redningstjeneste AS is owned by AAC Capital Partners (75 %) and central leaders within the company (25 %). AAC Capital Partners is one of the leading acquisition funds in Europe, with offices in London, Amsterdam and Stockholm. The company manages about 13 million NOK and owns companies which in total has a turnover on approximately 8 million NOK within the Nordic countries.
